STONE Z I

A Reflection for Our Times

I rarely write on this blog. Words are not my primary medium; instead, I rely on colors and geometries to convey my ideas and convictions as an artist.

In 2024, I was taken aback by acts of censorship and threats across several platforms where I share my work. These actions were aimed at silencing and removing the visual content I had published.

We are living in a time when conservatism and unchecked radicalization are fueling repression, stifling free thought, and undermining democracy. It is imperative that we reflect on the implications this has for our freedom of creation and expression.

To those who visit this blog and appreciate my work, my message is simple: revisit the ideas of Octavio Paz and Hannah Arendt. Their profound reflections on freedom, art, and the human condition in times of crisis offer valuable insights for today.

I hope these words reach someone willing to draw inspiration and take action.
